A cafe is a prelude to a short journey through a landscape defined by objects and phenomena of our everyday life. When objects are the silent components of a town square and the phenomena are the events that flow along the passage of time, then you can also make the journey together someone. And it is still a luxury. But no longer understood in its classical definition that associates it with a concept of exclusivity. In the contemporary the electronic paradigm induced customs ?? and have evolved also this aspect of social life.
Evolution, diversification, tasting, the expansion are new synonyms of luxury.
The concept of luxury is always about more than an ability to live rather than just the product. And knowing how to live is alongside of the traditional concepts of luxury products, the spaces in which we live (in terms of design, holidays, personal and rewarding experiences that people want to have) ... a luxury concept that is increasingly widespread. Reveals the need to give people more and more experience who seduces, involving the 5 senses and that information, too.
To Change everyday the space of Piazza Garibaldi in order to satisfy this need is the little challenge we set ourselves in creating the outdoor area for the Moma Coffee.
Not so the usual "outdoor room" but a device architecture capable of adapting to the boundary conditions dictated by the conventions (the market, festivals, fairs, etc..) And weather conditions. A device designed to be sturdy and practical but at the same time, easily removable and which, through the light permeability of the materials it is made, allowing an extraordinary mutability of perception, made of very light shades and subtle play of second reflections in the windows of the coffee; all designed to never be the same, to adapt to the dynamic background of the activities, moods, and weather. An evolution of twentieth-century screen, designed to separate and invent environments and enhance living spaces. A "Janus" that unites and separates the empty spaces defined by the square style connoting
