Located in Bullhead City, Arizona, the design for the Library reconfigures the existing 8,500 sf envelope, while a 22,300 sf addition ‘slips over’ the original building and allows the flow and zoning of all areas to seamlessly merge. The reenvisioned public building extends towards the street, giving greater visibility and an inviting pedestrian experience. Through its use of unexpected geometries, color balance (both bold and indigenous), civic presence, and sustainable approach, the library creates an urbane place in the city. The library received LEED Gold Certification. Completed as willbruder+PARTNERS
