A new two story + basement 5900 square foot residence with approximately 1500 square feet of roof terraces. A series of shifting sculptural forms create seven gardens around and through the house. Spaces look horizontally and vertically often through multiple gardens and back into itself. Clear and translucent glass panels connect sculptural forms vertically and horizontally. Basement walls of glass and teak wrap a vertical garden of bamboo rising up through the house. All bedrooms open to private terraces. The roof top of the house has exterior living and dining areas (which are partially covered) and a roof garden. Extensive green technologies and materials were incorporated into the project including 41 photovoltaic cells, passive heating/cooling and computer assisted shading.
