It is a prefabricated guest house attached to another house in Extremadura, Spain. It takes place in a rural environment where is perfectly framed despite the modern features of its design and its interior.
Modernism architecture VS country architecture
The house is developed on one floor, which is part of two apparently different volumes, the first one is the highest, covered with Stone and with gabled roof, and it is the original rustic house. On the other hand the prefab house is associated with the first, and is developed in a long horizontal body, with many windows and a facade with a very modern design.
All surrounded by a magnificent land with a variety of vegetation, including an orchard, a very pleasant environment that conveys freshness and biodiversity bringing color and space to the build space.
Interiors
The interiors are ultra-modern.
The bathroom has a unique and functional design, the sink in dark tones seems like a great option to combine with wood and light colors.
The exterior window is essential to give breadth and light to the space.
A sliding door connects the bathroom with the room, which is composed mainly of wood, a timeless ally that makes nice any space and in most of the cases more comfortable.
Desk
This window has a fantastic design to illuminate the work area with natural light. This type of integrated volumes is a good solution to create a pleasant work space with lots of light and exterior views.
Next to the table, we could not miss a great bookstore, '' library '' of the house, which completes this office space in the house.
Exterior corridors that reveal fantastic views
Wood and steel plates form a side corridor that gives access to the outside. This corridor with openings helps the connection between outdoor spaces and integrates a small pool with fantastic almost panoramic views.
Living room
This room is another modern space, designed in the style of the rest of the house, in wood.
Again, the rectangular slots in wood create an original detail to integrate lighting space. The lounge has a long window with stunning views.
The whole space is decorated with simplicity. A white carpet and sofa, also designed by the studio, complete the seating for several people.
In a more traditional style, the dining table and the chairs have a vintage design of the 60s.
At night, volume and lighting
Overnight the design of the volumes are still evident and lighting highlights the difference between the two buildings, but inside seem to be one.
A beam of light illuminates the top of the horizontal roof connecting the two buildings.
Modernity in communion with nature.
