This project is sited on a narrow wooded site with a great marsh view on the right of the site. From the street the house appears as an old tabby ruin. Tabby is a mixture of seashells, lime and concrete and was historically used in the low coastal areas from South Carolina to Florida. As one approaches "the ruin", it transforms into a very modern home. A spiral stair in the open living areas rises up to a lookout above.
