Design of a modern farmhouse in the Netherlands. Located on a beautiful site surrounded by farmland the farmhouse takes full advantage of its surrounding. A rhythm of wooden frames filled with glass opens up the house to the garden. During the day the normally hard border between inside and outside is feathered by use of the sliding glass doors. A standard daily routine from waking up to night time becomes an interesting trip through all the different places whee the interior meets the exterior. The house tries to merge with its surroundings by the the use of a thatched roof without any distractions, vertical Padoek wood shingles and the use of big glass sliding doors.
