This 100,000 square foot mixed use project, executed in collaboration with a commercial developer, was submitted to the City of Oakland in response to an RFP for a prominent Uptown site. The City required the applicants’ designs include a hotel, and TCA responded with a 120 room boutique-style business hotel extending the full length of the property on Telegraph Avenue. Gracious public programing extends the length of the street-front and wraps both side streets affording food and beverage service, lounge and check-in functions visible to passers-by through generous floor-to-ceiling glazing. 150 units of rental housing wrapping a podium with parking to complete the composition on the full acre site.
