Retaining and showcasing, at the clients request, the large ceiling chandelier as well as the four small wall mounted pieces served as the impetus behind the introduction of the massive wall to ceiling wooden element that is the primary focus of the master bedroom. Visual clutter is then minimized by concealing the storage within the niches present in the perimeter, converting its utilitarian fabric into a crimpled copper clad feature wall.
Repetitive usages of an identifiable motif, at different scales, materials, textures and performances, forms the basis of the design within the family room. An imprint within the suede wall fabric finds new form in a ‘corian’ screen, as well as a laser cut back lit ceiling lighting fixture.
