New studio: M.O.B interior architects
M.O.B definition: My Own Business (an individual creation through a contemporary circle of people). This is a space between creativity and passion. M.O.B studio creates a reconstruction of thoughts that they deploy and bloom into our soft mind.
The idea of M.O.B studio was created by the interior architect Stavros Ioannou back in August 2005.
M.O.B studio is located at Nicosia ancient city in Cyprus. At that point we were looking for a neutral space to deploy all the experience we managed to collect on the previous years. We finally did the right choice! An old warehouse was the unique space for that concept!
It was really challenging for me to manage the creation of a new concept without distorting the existing energy of the space. My main concept was to create a multilevel plan using the pictures of a city as a basic model. Where ever you stand in the studio, you get the feeling that you are watching the city through a large window. The use of neutral monochromatic material like corian and cheap board was the perfect choice to support strongly the whole idea. Also the lighting has a main role. We tried to respect the dark side of the “sin city” without burning it with the use of artificial light.
That was the first time that we created something for ourselves. We developed our passion and all our bad habits!
