Compositional guidelines of the project were based on the location's advantages and disadvantages, programme rules and ecological and economically sustainable construction. The principal compositional element - hotel rooms' wing - is twisted to follow the terrain dynamics. A uniform stroke establishes views from every room to various high quality ambients: to the south and east towards the mountain ridges, to Triglav, the highest Slovene peak and the picturesque resort town Bled and its castle, and to the east to the charming environment of the lake in the wood. The double wing on the south side splits to include vertical communications. The principal volume with 5 floors covers the needs for hotel room space in an appropriately proportioned volume, standing on the two rectangular bases housing wellness, conference centre and gastronomy on the ground floor. Northern wing is lowered towards the west (approach area), following the terrain slope along the line of road. On approach from the road, 200 meters of green area opens, bounded by a rich wooded area on the southern ledge, the northern wing of the hotel itself and a large shallow pond on the plain that can serve as a skating rink in winter. Principal hotel volume is vertically divided into links in the rhythm of room construction - links flow along the edges of the volume, displaying all its orientations. Vertical sections with slight inclination and with varying surface geometry fragment the volume; one large house becomes a series of small houses - composition moves towards human scale.
