When designating a primary focus for Missouri Bank’s downtown headquarters, the expertise housed there seemed most appropriate for this historic destination. Helix coined the moniker, “re-tailoring the business suit as we imagine the future of banking” as the driving concept. The richly detailed bank lobby was painted bright white, a stark contrast to the brilliant kelly green accent walls. Pinstripe and herringbone suiting fabrics and kelly green leather on reinterpreted traditional furnishings created a further twist. A transparent glass handrail was inserted, creating the illusion of a floating mezzanine anchored by a mahogany trimmed board room with bright yellow Italian leather chairs. Upon the mezzanine’s decorative plaster fascia, subtle phrases have been applied reinforcing key messages such as “be the difference” and “individual.”Not only a place of business, knowledge and tradition, the main bank also serves as of place of education, celebration and innovation. European cash recyclers were used to eliminate teller lines allowing personal bankers to move freely through the space. From client meeting to casual connections, patrons are encouraged to linger in the lobby where access to multiple hospitality stations, lounge and conference areas as well as books on art, self development and finance are provided. Consideration was also given to the bank’s many celebrations. Helix made sure every detail was contemplated from catering needs to addressing a crowd. Collateral branding material and marketing strategy was developed simultaneously, creating a seamless and holistic approach to the bank’s new brand.
