Designed for a family of three, Mishima House addresses the need for privacy and comfortable living in the dense downtown area of central Tokyo. The bedrooms are orientated to capture natural sunlight, while the south facing double-height windows in the living space utilise translucent glazing for privacy from the outside world.
The exposed steel structure maximises habitable space, while keeping the budget to a minimum. Internally the modern materials are finely detailed, such as the lightly folded steel staircase and loft balustrade, adding a layer of serenity and crafting a sense of urban tranquility in the heart of the city.
