Radisson Blu Split unveils the newly renovated Mint Bar, designed by AKSL Architects
SPLIT, CROATIA –july 2025 –Radisson Blu Split is proud to announce the grand reopening of its Mint Bar, a fully reimagined space where elevated design meets laid-back luxury. Conceived and brought to life by internationally acclaimed AKSL architects—with studios in Ljubljana and Vienna—the Mint Bar offers guests a refined yet relaxed atmosphere, blending Mediterranean charm with contemporary craftsmanship.
Strategically positioned at the heart of the hotel, the new Mint Bar seamlessly connects to an expansive terrace, both redesigned as one cohesive hospitality experience. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a striking custom made stone-clad barista counter, showcasing the finest pastries in a sleek glass vitrine—a visual and gastronomic welcome into the space.Behind this lies a higher cocktail bar finished in warm wood tones, featuring its own mixology station and an overhead liquor crown suspended above. This dual-concept layout allows guests to enjoy both day-to-night experiences: from artisanal coffee to handcrafted cocktails.
A high specialy designed communal table made of stone, paired with Nor11 bar stools, anchors a more intimate corner of the bar. Accented by Aroma del Campowall lighting, this area serves as a social or work-friendly space ideal for both conversation and quiet retreat.The interior walls feature layered panel sections combining wood, tactile wallpapers, and bespoke rope artworks by Madidah Art (Slovenia), reinforcing a strong design narrative that is artistic yet organic.Comfort is central to the Mint Bar experience. Flanking both sides of the bar arelounge areas,dressed in soft pink and green hues—inviting armchairsand plush sofasfrom Miniforms, withNor11poufs,all surrounded by lush indoor greenery, blurring the line between indoors and out.
Flowing naturally from the bar, the terrace offers an outdoor sanctuary shaded by a structure of wooden lamellas and textile, resting on a warm wooden deck. Guests can unwind in rope-detailed lounge armchairs, enjoy intimate moments on deep green sofas, or gather around a central island seating feature. Thoughtful additions such as floor lamps, outdoor carpets, and macrame dividers—once again by Madidah Art—complete the tranquil, garden-like ambiance.Mint Bar now proudly stands as the fifth food & beverage outlet at Radisson Blu Split, adding another layer of excellence to the hotel’s renowned hospitality offering.
Founded in 2000 by Špela Leskovic and Aleš Košak, AKSL Architects has long been known for its human-centric, emotion-driven design. With the opening of their Vienna office in 2016, their practice has grown internationally, with the Mint Bar marking the beginning of an ongoing creative partnership with Radisson Blu Split—future interior projects are already on the horizon.
