This 43-square-meter apartment in Kyiv reflects a vision of modern compact living, where spatial clarity meets emotional depth.
Full Description:Designed by Genesis Design for a solo resident, this 43 m² apartment project in Kyiv focuses on emotional resonance within a confined footprint. The interior navigates the limits of minimalism without sacrificing texture or intimacy.
Key spatial elements include a raised wooden podium with a hidden bed, an open-plan kitchen-living area framed by concrete ceilings, and an overhead plant-filled metal grid that defines the dining space. The aesthetic fuses raw materials — steel, concrete, and glass blocks — with warm accents: a green tile backsplash, natural wood shelving, and golden lighting strips embedded into joinery.
The design leverages vertical zoning to create a floating lounge space, while visual transparency keeps the layout fluid. The apartment achieves what many larger spaces don’t — personality without clutter, logic without coldness.
