The proposal for the furnished apartments had to make use of an existing devastated structure. Our intention was to distinguish the project from its neighboring buildings having identical scale and function. Our aim was also to offer a contemporary hotel that stands out by its high standards and facilities to provide contemporary and luxurious alternative, in contrast to the current available hotel facilities in this area.A skin was added on the existing building to redefine its scale and to allow a unified reading of our proposal. It is composed of fixed and adjustable/ stackable louvers, allowing varying degrees of transparency.
