The retail element of Milanosesto, designed by Design International, is unique as it maintains the original structure of the old steelworks, yet also maximises on the beautiful surroundings of the nearby park.
There are three retail areas in total; the Sesto Park, the Sesto Square and the Sesto Mall. From all three of these areas, guests will feel the connection with nature as it floods through the design.
The overall masterplan of Milansesto features 10,000 trees of 50 different variety and covers more than 700,000 sqm of green area.
The Sesto Square sits in front of the main Sesto Mall and is unique in itself as it features old pillars which were used in the days when the location was an industrial centre. This location will be suitable for outdoor concerts, as well as small community gatherings and markets.
The Sesto Park will be a place for children to play sports, as well as being a meeting place for families and friends alike to gather.
Lastly, the Sesto Mall will house three levels of retail with the anchor stores at each end. The Sesto Mall is an extension of the original existing structure which was an old steel mill.
