Phase 2 of the Fall Urban Design Studio culminated in a Mid-Review of individual work. My project is a greenway that takes vacant and industrial land and re-inhabits it through bioremediation. By taking the challenges of the site (low-income, high property tax, poor stormwater management, lack of taxable income in the area, high unemployment, and unhealthy schools) and focusing them into a design feature, the greenway seeks to be a self-catalyst for future growth in the city.
