coast office architecture have recently completed the 'microsoft briefing center' at microsoft's office building in wallisellen, switzerland. Central undulating furniture pieces zone and define the space allowing for different communication platforms to happen in the product lounge. The adjacent black glass media wall gives employees the opportunity to show presentations using the company's various types of technologies (microsoft kinect and microsoft surface technology) which are integrated into the face of the mill work. Different interactive zones, like the "kinect welcome zone", a "surface technology bar" oder product lounge areas giving guests, customers and employees the oppurtunity to show and experience technology in different situations. The surface of the partition has a graphic application to reflect and layer the media being transmitted throughout the area.Colourful digital ambient with intergrated technology making this straight dynamic pure black and white space to a impressive customer experience.Functional programs such as a coat rack, coffee bar, storage and catering, and technical devices are amalgamated and covered behind the barrier.The perimeter of the center is contrasted with a gray flexible curtain wall treatment to allow the area to be open or closed from the exterior environment,transforming the room's mood for different events. At the far end of the center is where the meeting rooms are located. These meeting rooms are separated from the lounge with a glass partition with the same graphic motif as on the media wall, continuing the interior language throughout the space. To accommodate for larger meetings it is equipped with the possibilty 3 projections, touchscreens and a large table which sits up to twenty people.
