Micro Apartments

The micro unit concept is not new and major urban cities
across the US have begun to take note of San Francisco and New York’s pursuit
of the product type.  “Younger people are
demanding that they live, work and play in an often-times compact area and this
type project will make this desire more accessible as it will offer rental
rates that can be sustained by today’s young professional,” says Chris Ernst
who worked with Ben on the design and programming for the building.  For this project to become reality in New
York, the City will be required to change its current building codes, allowing
for dwellings to be less than 400 square feet, something established in 1987.
