This 50,000-square-foot building boasts a 55-foot climbing wall, bouldering area, 15-meter speed wall, yoga studio, weight training area, sauna, spa-quality locker rooms, and a large outdoor space. The entrance to the building features a striking geometric triangular ceiling, which is an abstract representation of the faceted walls of a mountain range. This motif can also be seen on the facade of the building. Natural finishes such as birch plywood have been used throughout the gym to warm up the space, contrasting expansive gray climbing walls. One of the greatest challenges of this project was coordinating the building systems. The sprinkler system, mechanical duct systems, lights, and fans had to be highly coordinated throughout the design and build of this project. Many of these systems are hidden in the climbing walls, providing a seamless and unobtrusive experience. The outdoor community space is a highlight of the building, providing a natural setting for outdoor activities such as yoga classes, group workouts, and community events. This space is surrounded by the natural landscaping, further enhancing the connection between the building and the natural environment.
