The Mesa College Allied Health Center includes a diverse collection of medically-oriented classrooms and laboratories. Located adjacent to the new east entrance parkway, the building serves as a gateway to the campus, boldly announcing the importance of the Allied Health academic programs to students and visitors who arrive at the college. The design responds to the faculty’s request for a state-of-the-art building with a presence that projects a contemporary medical office building.
The building’s multi-use program includes clinical labs for dental, radiology, health information sciences, physical therapy, and medical assisting. The project also includes
standard and special use classrooms, faculty offices, and a cafe in the ground floor lobby.
The building’s entry sequence is accented with a glass enclosed two-story lobby space and main circulation stair, which features views down the “Grand Diagonal Paseo” into the heart of the main campus.
