The concept was to create a building that is iconic and unique, synonymous with high-end cuisine and quality. The restaurant is spacious yet intimate, light during the day and atmospherically lit at night, with comfort, flexibility, and a strong street presence. The spatial flow- from entrance to bar, dining and kitchen - is logical and balanced. The design incorporates ecological features and represents Indonesian culture and art.
To create harmony between inside and outside, the space uses trees, pools, and vegetation within a large, comfortable interior. Motifs drawn from across Indonesia appear in carvings, sculpture, metal panels, patterned brick, and textiles used in imaginative ways to avoid cliché. Traditional materials offer strong visuals and tactile links.
The concept is inspired by opulent, laid back living in harmony with. nature. Jewel tones and warm reds reflect the national flag, while natural textures and ornamentation evoke a rich sense of place.
