The Sequoia Union High School District needed new space for "career technology education," the latest development in vocational instruction. The new building on the Menlo-Atherton campus will focus on teaching digital and media arts.
The existing Menlo-Atherton campus had little room to accommodate a new building. CAW oriented the building to be on axis with the campus' new performing arts center and the main library. CAW created a circular path that links the facility with the campus' new performing arts center and the main library. The building will also serve as a new gateway entrance into the existing football stadium, created by pulling the building mass apart.
