ITZAMNÁ [THE NIGHT´S GOD] Tikal is characterized for being a city with several monumental buildings that in its time full field the function of observatories, religious temples, palaces and big sports facilities. Each one of these buildings can be considered a real work of art contained in an historical park, a living museum. The principal aim of this project is turning Tikal into a great night exhibition, illuminating each one of its buildings, turning the whole park into a landscape that can be appreciated by the visitors of the hostel.The project is divided in two parts: /The first one is conform by the public area of the project to which one accedes from a great hall destined for the trade of local crafts. This hall articulates the building in the exhibitions areas, three volumes that contain mummies, textiles, crafts and local models; and the public access area of the hostel, shaped by lounges, dining rooms and the administration. /The second part, which places to 80 meters from the ground level, is conform by the bedrooms area, which possess spectacular views toward the Tikal park, turning by night into a museum in which the persons who lodge at the hostel can take a tour in the comfort of his stays.
