RKTB designed Meltzer Two in response to an RFEI issued by NYCHA for a mixed use residential and commercial building adjacent to the Meltzer Tower on the lower east side of Manhattan. The proposal is part of a larger land lease initiative by NYCHA to develop parcels located on 8 residential campuses.
Our proposal for the Meltzer Tower is a 121,000 SF, mixed use building that contains 152 market rate and affordable residential units and ground floor retail space. 20% of the units will be affordable under the zoning resolution’s inclusionary housing program.
