Nestled in a wooded environment in Hangzhou China, the Mei Li Zhou Church seamlessly merges into the existing natural environment, while establishing a close relationship with the local communities. Mei Li Zhou Church was created to be a spiritual retreat for residents and visitors of all religious beliefs, despite its Christian religious foundation. Embraced by nature, the bell tower of the Mei Li Zhou Church became a local landmark amongst the forest. The cloister allows the locals to bless their lives and re-establish their spiritual relationship with nature and the world.
