EPC contract was awarded to Bechtel Corporation. As part of its cost optimisation drive for this project, Reliance engaged VMS to carry out value engineering of the massive volume concrete works. The intelligent design significantly reduced concrete quantities, without compromising design criteria and safety aspects. The construction time was reduced by half, saving huge resources, by converting 20m high multi-layered pipe racks from concrete to steel midway into construction.
