The project was to build a mansion into an art gallery with a housing for the gallery.While the building had a strong image, the challenge of this project was both to keep it while cleaning it of its main meanings.This process begins at entry with a pink neon surrounding small old brass lantern located above the door.Inside, the mansion that remains primarily the central staircase, a kind of hinge between the existing building and the new gallery.The rooms, completely stripped, are highlighted by a neon specially designed for this place so that only the work on display emerged. It is the same for the door jambs splayed, which since the stairwell looks heavy from the rooms paper thin.At the rear, under a existing canopy, video box has been placed as levitating in space. His levitation is explained mainly by its function, it is the height of a seat and the whole is perceived as a TV bench.Housing, it is a "customization" of a renovation already completed some ten years.
