Medical Center Grosuplje

Grosuplje, Slovenia

Firm
YEAR
2009
The MedicalCenter is located in a residential complex in the city Grosuplje near Ljubljana. The investor's desire was to transform the existing commercial propertyinto a modern medical centre. On the available area of 160m2 on the ground floor and partly in the basement, we were able to organize a centre of health, which is different and more attractive than other centres of the same type. High attention was devoted to the program scheme and distribution of the functional components. The programs had the necessity to complement one another, but at the same time they had to form separate units. On the ground floor is located a reception area, all the surgeries, and a space for group workouts and physiotherapy, while in the basement are the dressing rooms with toilets and a  multipurpose gymnasium.
The basic idea was to create a bright, rich colour and high-quality interior that would not be recognizable as a classic medical clinic. Diverse variety of colour and graphics applications made this essential quality and uniqueness of the interior. In the MedicalCenter are used the colours that symbolize strength, health and nature. Graphic applications of the trees further confirm the character of interior colours and features. Lighting is entirely indirect and creates an intimate ambience of the space. Spots appear suspended lights in a modern metal structure as a counterweight to the natural harmony of colours and graphics.
With a system of sliding doors, the main room on the ground floor can be transformed into several smaller spaces and allows multiple uses at once. Also the activities in the centre can be adapted on premises and needs, by enabling greater flexibility. On a relatively small area we have created a modern and innovative medical centre, especially user-friendly.
