A forward thinking accountancy firm who provides audit, tax, advisory, and financial consulting services to a wide range of Canadian clients. Established in 1992, the accounting firm is comprised of partners and professionals with backgrounds at major national and international accounting firms. They decided it was time to consolidate their 3 locations into a single workplace in Oakville.
The firm sees themselves as a company with expertise found at the ‘Big 4’, but who takes a personal hands-on small firm approach. Our design had to reflect that warmth while providing a hospitable client-facing spaceto be proud of.
Warm finishes such as the oak wall covering, usually found in a luxury homes or a boutique hotel, create a ‘resi-mmercial’ aesthetic intended to make both the staff and visitors feel at ease.
A large built-in bookcase in the reception area showcases the company’s achievements but also houses personal items from the staff, creating a feeling that the office is a home away from home for everyone who works there.
Perforated panels between the waiting area and the main conference room create visual privacy, whilst still transmitting natural daylight throughout the reception area. The perforations represent the idea of a fictionalized accountant’s mind, with numbers running through it like in a movie.
A range of different themed meeting rooms are sprinkled around the office for the purpose of accommodating focused work, breakout space, or one on one meetings.
