The Maxx Royal Bodrum project, situated on the northern coast of Bodrum, is a testament to integrating natural elements with modern hospitality concepts. The design capitalizes on the unique features of its location, including a private peninsula, pine forests, and a secluded bay with clear waters. The layout incorporates greenery, water elements, and the bay into its architectural framework, extending Cennet (Paradise) Bay into social and accommodation areas. Water features flow throughout the site, harmonizing with the terrain and reaching lagoon room verandas.
Structures are strategically placed to interact closely with the landscape, with guests accessing the resort via a forest road that offers immediate views of the surroundings. Common areas, located on lower levels, transition from large water elements to integrated vegetation systems, creating varied spatial experiences. Environmental impact is minimized through passive climate control elements like eaves and shading systems, with fragmented and texture-based accommodation units reflecting Aegean living practices.
The facility includes 287 keys, with a mix of suites, lagoon rooms, family rooms, and villas, each blending privacy with social spaces. The central lagoon area transforms the traditional 'pond' concept into a 'bay,' aligning with sustainable design principles and aiming for LEED Platinum certification. Utilizing 95% of existing materials and emphasizing plant biodiversity, the project promotes an eco-friendly approach, integrating green roofs and efficient water systems to enhance the natural connection.
