The house was designed by Maurício de Vasconcellos in the sixties. He belongs to a generation of Portuguese modern architects who started making architecture after the 1st National Congress of Architecture in 1948. Maurício de Vasconcellos oriented his activity for a personal architectural language, organicistic and inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, choosing sometimes projects which still are a reference point for the study of modern Portuguese architecture as it is the case of this house. The interior design preserve and enhance, highlighting the modernity through a careful selection of materials and furniture.
