Cidade Matarazzo is a quiet, green refuge in the heart of the Paulista Avenue region — one of São Paulo’s most lively neighbourhoods. The charming village of historic, landmark buildings, designed in 1904 and restored by Groupe Allard, is an unprecedented venture in Latin America’s largest economic and cultural capital. The SPOL is architect of record for phase two of the Cidade Matarazzo. The project includes a Soho House Hotel and a Rosewood Hotel.
The construction of Cidade Matarazzo counted with a retrofitting process, in which preserving the monumental Maternity Building was a top priority. Thus, a special formulation high resistance concrete was used to minimize on the original building structure.
