RECOVERY PROJECT AREA "CURTA GRANDA"The owner of the Cooperative Curta Granda is located in the town of Magenta.It has an area of about 70,000 square meters and is bordered to the north by the road Padana Superiore, on the east by a building fabric consists of terraced houses n. 2 floors above ground, on the south by the railway line MI - TO and west with a green area.The Cooperative proposes the renovation of an intervention aimed at creating a positive social impact: a sort of "Polo Cooperation".In particular we want to raise awareness and respond to issues such as Social Housing, whether temporary or permanent, for 'weak' categories (the elderly, people with disabilities, families in need ...), but also free time as an "opportunity "socialization and cooperation (vegetable cultivation, preparation of areas equipped pitches for the users of the nearby park with green theme paths such as children's play, fitness trail, space dogs, structure for events ...).To support and complete green areas equipped you provide a range of services such as restaurant, bike rental, the offices of cooperatives that control and manage the entire social pole.The restoration of the green is intended to be complementary and functional near Parco del Ticino.It is therefore strategic starting point for visits to the park itself, full of bike paths (hence the bike rental above) and visits to nearby cultural monuments (Abbey Morimondo).The project involves the strip east creating housing according to the canons of co-operative.These buildings are in line identify deep short "loops" which opens towards the central green area.The access road to the lots and gardens, set on the south by the relevant public parking is located along the east side so as to keep the traffic on the edge of the intervention, protecting it from sources of noise and pollution.The courts, however, allow a certain visual permeability to the green from the street.To the south are the gardens: the issue of cultivation may be time for meetings, collaboration and sharing.Hence the concept of garden - therapy.The west side instead provides for the maintenance of existing forest slope and the preparation of areas for visitors.The central area in green represents the point where both residents of social housing and external visitors meet, and in fact all the footpaths lead here.The thematic routes and a lightweight structure designed to accommodate public events complement the area.To the north are identified access, public parking building and a curtain (tertiary) that acts as a filter aid, protecting the green from view and road traffic noise.
