ABOUT US
Masseria Santissimo dates back to the 19th century, when it was used as agricultural center for farming the land and preserving farm production from the owner ancestor. After a careful restoration, completed respecting the old shapes and using recycled materials to furnish the interiors, the Masseria is converted in a social rural space and b&b from the effort of the youngest family member Claudio.
FEAUTERS – FACILITIES
This rural space has been built to offer you not only a simple accommodation but also a life experience within the Murge plateau. During your stay in this enchanting Masseria, there will not be occasion to get you bored because you will have the opportunity to experience how the life was a century ago throughout several workshops in the Rural Space. The purpose of those courses is to promote and spread the local culinary habit and the common practise of making handmade tools such as chairs, lamps, etc… Yet the environmental friendly design store.
Yet a generous, well-maintained outdoor area will be the backdrop to your long warm evenings under the starry sky or a leafy canopy where to enjoy the landscape beauty, the natural melodic sound and the air purity. All those assets will contribute to let you love this whitewashed Masseria. At the same time you will be looked after by the passionate individuals who own and run this holiday home, Claudio and his Family.
THE RURAL SPACE
In the Rural Space, we organise workshops to promote and spread the local heritage, such as the homemade practice that we are trying to preserve and share with you. You have the chance to pick your favourite activities according to your specific interest and your individual attitudes between three standard courses:
● “A pranzo dalla nonna”: workshop about traditional kitchen, in order to learn how to make on your own fresh pasta and sugo (tomato souce), and have it as lunch food
● “Mozzarella fai da te”: how to make by your self mozzarella and other local fresh milk foodstuff;
● “Fatti una sedia”: learn how to make and compose chairs and other stuff by using wood and our traditional transformation techenique.of this material.
