Masma Eat – Pelawatta | Project Summary
Masma Eat – Pelawatta is a contemporary corporate and commercial exterior project that demonstrates how colour, architecture, and climate intelligence can work together to create a strong urban identity.
Designed by C Plus Design Pvt Ltd, the project explores colour not as surface decoration, but as a core architectural strategy. Bold yet controlled chromatic elements are used to articulate massing, define hierarchy, and reinforce brand presence within a dense commercial context.
The building’s form is composed through layered volumes and carefully proportioned façades, creating depth and visual rhythm while maintaining clarity and legibility from the street. Climate responsiveness informed key design decisions, including façade articulation, shading elements, and material selection, ensuring durability and comfort within Sri Lanka’s tropical environment.
Beyond visual impact, the architecture supports operational efficiency, visibility, and flexibility allowing the building to function as both a commercial asset and a recognizable landmark.
Masma Eat – Pelawatta was selected as a Finalist at the Creative Colour Awards 2025 in the Architectural Category: Corporate & Commercial Exterior, recognizing its thoughtful integration of colour, form, and contextual performance.
The project reflects a design approach rooted in clarity, restraint, and long-term value where architecture serves both identity and purpose.
