A single room was design to accommodate all – the kitchen, indoor seating, and outdoor terrace, to create a space where everything is seen, smelled and heard; a space where all senses are engaged. Large furniture-like shelving elements and a single 35ft long wooden bar contain all service equipment and loosely separate the dining and preparation areas. Only simple materials were used and mostly left unfinished. Slight changes in tone and geometry signal different stations without the need of signage. The shell of space itself is left raw, with a continuous floor finish of custom made concrete pavers extending uninterrupted from the outside, helping reinforce the unity of
the single room.
