A highly permeable urban plaza, enclosed by a hybrid shell-folded plate-wall structure and alternating solid and transparent cladding, a gathering place for fresh, local foods. A dark, slag-brick clad mass, the service core, anchors the corner and transitions from the orthogonal facades of the street front to the warped triangulated geometry of the market hall. The ground level glass wall slides away, inviting passerbys to drift into the space naturally, enticed by the smells of the street food vendors and the site of others sitting on the steps surrounding the market space... A grand stair, hung from the shell structure by rigid suspension rods, draws people up to the restaurant and bar, with its open kitchen celebrating local foods...
