Wishing to have a new and ergonomic desk for the Marie-Victorin Library, the City of L'Ancienne-Lorette mandated PARKA for its design. One of the great constraints of the project was that the desk had to keep the exact same footprint than its predecessor, but with a new refined design. Materials also needed to be brighter and simpler so that the overall design could reflect the contemporaneity and sophistication of the library services. The desk incorporates numerous new technologies and equipments. Its configuration was studied in order to respect the habits of users while optimizing the work of employees. More efficients services and ergonomic workspace are the results from this design. Lighting and signage were also integrated to the furniture in a way that could easily directs visitors to the right service point.
