The client that retained me to design Weber House asked me to design a park for a private housing complex. The park is a tribute to one of the most important painters of Ecuadorian modern art, Manuel Rendon. The plan consists of a three-dimensional reproduction of one of my favorite paintings adjacent to a small river walk. I decided to develop this idea since the park is mlocated in a new part of town that doesn't have many cultural and emblematic icons. Park and river walk follow the geometrical patterns of the painting. The park is a composition of paving stones of different colors and shapes, tile fountains, green areas, and roof gardens. I worked with the existing trees and added local vegetation in order to save water consumption.
