The apartment block of Mandra Living is located in the prestigious neighborhood of Kolonaki, created to discover Athens while living in comfort. It is a residential concept of short-term living, but the spaces are designed to fit long-term stays as well in a prime location. Situated in the heart of Athens, these eight apartments allow guests to enjoy easy access to upscale boutiques, vibrant cafes, cultural landmarks, and returning to spacious living areas to recoup.
HYLE was commissioned to curate and produce the FF&E procurement of the Mandra Living spaces. It was a process of carefully selecting items that are both functional and aesthetically matching the size of each apartment - which vary in size from 1 to 3-bed properties and 50 to 110 sqm. The ultimate goal was to create spaces that feel like a home away from home, in surroundings that are defined by simplicity, calm, comfort and ease.
In order for the residents to be able to immerse themselves in the city's charm, the style of the apartments features a soft color palette combined with shades of grey, that refer to the prevalent concrete hues found all around urban Athens. The colors across living spaces are reminiscent of the warmth of natural timber paralleled with the depth of fresh, pop aesthetic as seen in the artworks and furniture, enhancing the experience of Mandra Living in the luxurious Kolonaki address.
Classic curvy forms are placed in contrast to the delicate, clean-cut pieces in the furnishing system chosen for this unique place, and the indoor plant selection is key in connecting the indoor with the outdoor space. Surrounding balconies are full of the characteristically Athenian flower boxes, so that the greenery creates an intermediate filter between living and urban space. The softened immediacy of the downtown Athens location was a strategic choice to allow guests to ease into the vibrancy of Kolonaki and enjoy cool, contemporary living at the heart of the buzzing capital.
