Man Group occupies 48,000 square feet on floors 25-27, which were previously occupied by HSBC. As the interior architect, Spector Group is charged with meeting a variety of subtle, yet crucial, design challenges.
“This is remarkable space that will serve as the new Manhattan home for Man Group,” says Spector Group Principal Scott E. Spector, AIA. “Man Group hired us to design interior space that reflects the consolidation and expansion of three entities, while also respecting the heritage of each. At the same time, Man Group wants its collective space to also evoke the aesthetic of its recently redesigned global headquarters in London. In the end, we’re going to give Man Group a new Manhattan regional office that is as spectacular to look at as it is functional to work in.”
Elements of the new Man Group offices will include:
An open floor plan, conducive to Man Group’s highly interactive trading environment
A use of crisp lines, color and natural lighting uncommon to typical trading environments
Accommodations for state-of-the-art technology, including a full tele-presence facility
LEED Gold certification, representing numerous sustainable finishes and materials
A luminous staircase, connecting floors 26 and 27, which will serve as a focal point of the space.
A new cafe and servery area
Spectacular, 360-degree panoramic views of Manhattan
