Weespaces Unveils Maison Verde: A harmonious balance of heritage, texture, and tropical calm
Set amidst a bustling neighborhood in Bangalore we reimagined a 4000 sq ft villa with traditional architecture and bones to create a home inspired by neoclassical architecture, tropical tones and a sophisticated personality.
The infusions of warm greens and bold teals and navy carry through the home juxtaposed with bold monochromes and brass accents. The prominent infusion of greens and the tropical palette inspires the name Maison Verde.
The home opens into a large foyer area featuring a classic harlequin marble floor and a foyer table in front of a wall clad in antique mirror. A soft archway leads into the living room sporting soft teal walls all over. A curved sofa sits below a custom art piece by artist Priyanka Aelay and upholstered swivel chairs and classic fluted marble tables bring together the space. The living space has a vaulted ceiling that complements the arches.
The dining and curved fluted bar area adjoining the living space are clad in a soft watercolor mural paper and sit next to the kitchen where deep navy cabinetry and a stone topped island ground the space.
As we move up the stairs on the lower level is the guest bedroom with a large tropical mural papered wall behind a cane back bed. The classic French country cane and wood bed feels at home against the nature inspired wall mural. On the first floor the stairs open into the family space featuring a grass cloth wallpaper that covers the entire family room and a wall to wall built in library unit in a deep smoky blue gray tone. A leather chesterfield and a swivel chair ground the entire space. This level also sports three other bedrooms and bathrooms including the master bedroom, kids bedroom and a guest room.
The master bedroom is an oasis in itself and takes our clients love for the color green to another level using it in different tones and materials to create a layered but monotone space. The walk in closet is clad in a William morris wallpaper and deep teal wardrobes and the bedroom walls are painted a sage green while the paneled ceiling sports a deep tone of forest green creating a rich contrast. A large four poster bed grounds the room. The master bathroom uses deep green tiles all over and a green marble to create a cut out sink to create a monotone luxe feel.
The adjoining kids room has a loft space above the bed area and is a perfect lounge spot for a teenage boy. The walls are kept a crisp white while color comes in through art and soft furnishings.
