CONSTRUCTION OF A DAY-CARE CENTER AND
SPORTS HALL IN WILWERWILTZ
The newly created complex in
Wilwerwiltz, including a day-care center and a sports hall, allows to combine
sport, leisure and school activities. The volume of the day care center turns
its front to the existing schoolyard and adapts itself, in its form, structure
and choice of material, to the needs and the activities of the children. The volume of the sports hall forms the
spine of the complex. The structure is wrapped in a translucent facade which
fills the interior with light but still gives the impression of a closed
protection. The tribune and the gallery represent
the heart and the combining element of the building. The tribune is even extended
to the outside of the building where it invites the public to approach the
inside, watch and stay.
