After performing "The Good House ®" for Yann Arthus-Bertrand and the "Natural Positive Building ® "seat of his office in Houdan, Emmanuel COSTE conducted its own house in Montfort l'Amaury, 60 km west of Paris.
Called "House Canopy ®" for its integration in a very wooded area, this house is exemplary sustainable development:
- Seamless integration in the natural and historic village (subject to ZPPAU the opinion of the Architect of the Buildings of France),
- Foreshadowing-energy standards in 2020: better than the standard liability, this house neutral energy through a rigorous design of the envelope and a innovative energy recovery,
- Recycling of gray water in addition to the recovery of rainwater,
- Construction-in solid wood pins and choice of natural materials.
-Roofing-vegetated land
This house was awarded the winner of PREBAT FEDEI and 2009 for its quality and very small footprint.
Real laboratory environmental and energy, its consumption is followed daily, as the analysis of VOC pollutants, CO2, temperature, humidity
and acoustics that led to a study of COSTIC.
