This is the third Magasand in madrid, located un the area of Delicias, in an old storage house.
The project respects the essence of what Magasand is and maintains its concept, but it adapts to its new surroundings, taking advantage of the doble height and the existing industrial elements.
The interior architecture utilizes the existing grids in the ceiling and old windows to create a new pattern for every element designed in the venue, this pattern can be seen in the facade, shelves, stairs and all other elements, maintaining the industrial character of the venue.
The materials and finishes used in this restaurant are the same as in the other restaurants in the group. Subway tiles, OSB wood panels, steel structures and continued floors and furniture remind the client of the brand and the experience. But these elements are reinterpreted for this specific space.
To create a kinder space below the double heigh a lamp imitating a fair garland was designed, using custom made lamp shades made by the same ceramist that makes all the tableware.
In the briefing one of the most important points is that every element inside the restaurant has a use, there can’t be any elements just for the purpose of decoration. For this reason the elements mostly used day to day as old cutting boards, fruit boxes and common products decorate the walls and open shelves.
