A young couple and Magali, their four-legged daughter, sought to transform this rental apartment into their new home. In order to be able to do that, there were some important points: space, work and colors! The solutions should have personality and be done quickly (the project development and the renovation should be completed in 2 months). The client gave us the keys and, one week after the beginning of the project, went on vacation to the other side of the world.
Our challenge was to unite all the existing furniture, of different styles, and the beveled floor plan to quick and cheap solutions in order to create a relaxed space for the couple. In addition, the design and renovation should be completed in 2 months.
We attached one of the bedrooms to the living room, leaving plenty of space for Maga to run around and for the couple to entertain friends. The torn down wall was imprinted on the floor with burnt cement and the pillar gained prominence once it was peeled. The enlarged room received a green wall. Following that, the color blue bathed the intimate corridor into the dressing room. The hue leaked into the other rooms as well, bringing the freshness of the beach and the tranquility of the sky.
Working from home was already a reality in the couple's routine, so a planned and comfortable space was essential. Therefore, one of the rooms was designed exclusively as a working environment. We sought a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere: the beach! The ceiling was painted in sand tones and the client herself made the blue gradient texture on the wall.
In the dressing room, we chose to take advantage of the existing millwork, which was transformed with blue and white paint.
This cheerful family loves prints and collects decorative items and good memories! Therefore, a house designed with them ended up with a lot of color, unusual solutions and a lot of personality. Modern, rustic and colorful!
