Madura Villa is an elegantly designed four-bedroom residence located in the vibrant neighborhood of Canggu, Bali. The villa’s modern contemporary style is enriched with tropical and cultural influences, blending clean architectural lines with thoughtfully curated interiors and lush landscaping. Set on a 200 m² plot with an L-shaped layout, the villa offers a luxurious living experience.
Interior Design and Layout
The open-plan layout is a centerpiece of the design, seamlessly integrating the living, dining, and kitchen areas with a natural flow to indoor and outdoor living. Double-height ceilings and natural light further enhance the spaciousness. Warm natural textures, including rattan and stone, combine with modern accents like recessed lighting to create a sophisticated atmosphere.
The large glass panels and sliding doors connect the indoor space to a tropical garden, where a private pool serves as cozy relaxation spot. And the floating staircase acts as both a functional element and a striking design feature, leading to the private upper-level bedrooms.
Each of the four bedrooms serves as a private sanctuary, complete with en-suite bathrooms, ample wardrobe space, and elegant finishes. The bathrooms feature high-end fixtures, including rain showers and soaking tubs, designed to provide a tranquil, spa-like experience.
Key Aspects of the Development
One of the key challenges was optimizing the design for the villa’s compact plot size without compromising functionality or aesthetics. Ensuring each space felt open and inviting required spatial planning and efficient use of natural light. Logistical constraints during material sourcing and construction in a rapidly developing area also added complexity to the process.
The construction of Madura Villa utilized a steel frame structure, chosen for its durability and efficiency in tropical conditions. Double-layer walls were implemented for sound and thermal insulation, ensuring a comfortable indoor environment. Locally sourced natural stone and wood were used extensively for finishes, blending durability with aesthetic appeal. Handcrafted furnishings and decor elements further highlight the cultural connection.
