PROJECT IS SITUATED AT AN EXUBERANT SITE FLANKED WITH A FLOWING RIVER ON ONE
SIDE AND RUBBER PLANTATION ON THE OTHER DIVIDED BY STATE HIGHWAY WITH AN EXISTING
RESTAURANT AND A RESORT IN THE SAME COMPOUND .
DESIGN
CONCEPT OF THE BUILDING MATCHING ORIENTATION OF THE LINEAR PLOT (TO CAST AFTERNOON
SHADOW ON THE OPEN RIVER SIDE) WITH MULTIPLE SITE ENTRY/EXIT POINTS ARE ADOPTED.
THE
BASIC STRUCTURE HAS BEEN DERIVED FROM SIMPLE METAL PIPE COLUMNS WITH TRUSSLESS
AND ARC-FORMED ROOFING OF TRIPPLE HEIGHT WITH GALVALUME SHEETS TO ACCOMODATE A
SHUTTLE COURT INSIDE AND MEZZANINE FLOORS ON FRONT AND BACK SIDES TO HAVE
MINIMAL USAGE OF CEMENT CONCRETE WORKS. ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE PANELLING HAS BEEN
USED FOR EXTERIOR CLADDING TO LESSEN SEASONAL MAINTENANCE. GLAZING
FOR WINDOW LIGHTINGS, PLYWOOD PANELLING WITH LAMINATE FINISH FOR INTERIOR
FACADE WITH OPEN CEILING, KOTA STONES FOR INTERIOR FLOORING TO ACCOMODATE ROUGH
FURNITURE USAGE, VITRIFIED TILES FOR FRONT LOBBY/LOUNGE, PVC CARPET FLOORING
FOR SHUTTLE COURT INSIDE AND FIRE BLASTED EXTERIOR PAVERS TO COMBAT THE HEAVY
VEHICULAR MOVEMENTS, PLAYS MATERIAL ROLES IN THE PROJECT. ELEVATIONS
WITH SEVERAL PROJECTIONS & RECESSIONS TO BREAK THE MONOTONY OF RECTANGULAR
SHAPE, SIMPLE RAINBOW CANOPY AND THE EXTERNAL HANDWASHES TO MATCH THE CONCEPTUAL
ARC- FORM IS THE MAJOR HIGHLIGHT IN THE DESIGN.
WITH MINIMAL CEILING LIGHTS AND VERTICAL LIGHTINGS
FOR FUNCTIONAL MOODS AT COLUMN BOXINGS ON SIDES ALONG WITH THE ELEGANT
LANDSCAPING REFLECTED TO INTERIORS THROUGH THE OPENINGS, SHOWS A CO-RELATION
BETWEEN INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACE.
