A 1200 sf ground floor space in the East Village separated down the middle by a brick bearing wall, the east side space is used for the kitchen and teaching lab while on the west side is the cafe. The design of the cafe is clean and bright and works with the existing aesthetic of the company to offset the bright colors of the macarons. Exposed wood beams in the ceiling provide a warm contrast to the
white painted brick, marble counters and white painted cabinets. A seating area in the back is demarcated with built-in bench seating and a dropped white ceiling. Up-lighting behind the benches wash the white brick walls. Photos by Alan Tansey.
